Join us as a
Head of Finance (m/w/d) *
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for the areas of Accounting, Controlling, and Procurement
- Further development of the financial structure and ensuring the financing of the university
- Leadership of a team of approximately 10 employees
- Driving the structuring, automation, and optimization of processes in budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
- Further development of an integrated financial planning including P&L, balance sheet, liquidity, and cash planning
- Responsibility for multi-year planning and annual financial statements
- Support in the digitalization strategy and implementation of systems and AI technologies
- Collaboration with external financial partners (e.g., auditing firms) and acting as an interface to BMBWF, BMF, and the State of Upper Austria
- Reporting to the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Finance
Your strengths and skills:
- Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on Finance, Controlling, or Accounting
- Several years of experience in a senior financial position, ideally in a university-related or public sector environment
- Experience in the implementation and development of financial structures
- Proven track record in the optimization, automation, and digitalization of financial processes
- Confident handling of complex stakeholder landscapes
- Fluent in German and English with excellent presentation and communication skills

Competitive compensation starting from € 90.000 yearly gross salary, with the possibility of overpayment based on qualifications and experience.
