Learning Data Analyst (f/m/d)*
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform advanced data analysis (preprocessing and modelling) on student and learning data (LMS and other systems) to elevate teaching quality, student success, and curriculum design.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-impact dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for faculty, program leaders, and institutional stakeholders using modern BI and analytics tools.
- Partner closely with academic staff and teaching & learning teams to translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations and measurable educational improvements.
- Support the evaluation of educational innovations by defining key metrics and KPIs from a data-driven perspective.
- Spot emerging trends, risks, and opportunities related to student engagement, academic progression, and learning outcomes.
- Guarantee the responsible, ethical, and compliant handling of student and institutional data, strictly aligning with university policies and data governance standards (e.g., GDPR).
Your strengths and skills:
- University degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Educational Science, or a related field with a strong focus on data analysis and AI.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Learning Data Analyst, Educational Data Scientist, or in a similar analytical role.
- Proven Data Science skills with solid applied and theoretical knowledge of statistics and machine learning; experience with AI is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools, efficient querying and coding (SQL, Python, R), and skills in data engineering and MLOps (e.g. Git, Docker).
- Experience with learning systems data (LMS, SIS, assessments, surveys) to define and monitor educational metrics.
- Structured communication skills for clear data interpretation and the ability to explain complex systems to researchers, students, and staff.
- Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Very good English skills at a minimum level C1.
