LMS Administrator (f/m/d)*

As LMS Administrator (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the seamless operation, integration, and continuous improvement of our Canvas LMS and connected learning technologies. Working at the intersection of researchers, the teaching & learning team, and IT, you will ensure our digital learning environments are robust, user-friendly, and ready for the future of education.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain our Canvas LMS and associated learning technologies to ensure reliable and effective daily operations.
  • Manage and optimize connections between Canvas LMS and other academic systems (e.g., Student Information Systems (SIS), assessment tools, and collaboration platforms).
  • Monitor and analyze usage, adoption, and performance data to derive actionable insights for continuous platform improvement.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and rollout of new learning technology tools based on user needs and data insights.
  • Work closely with researchers, teaching & learning teams, and central IT to optimize digital learning environments and explain complex systems to stakeholders.
  • Ensure high data quality, accessibility, and strict compliance with institutional policies and data protection regulations.

Your strengths and skills:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field with a focus on information systems; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Canvas LMS or a similar platform (such as Moodle, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of LMS administration (setup, permissions, troubleshooting) and connecting systems (SIS, third-party LTI tools).
  • Proven capability to translate usage data and user feedback into actionable insights.
  • Experience in platform evaluation, requirements gathering, pilots, and contributing to roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with AI-enabled tools to support teaching, learning, and engagement.
  • Highly organized team player with strong communication skills, analytical problem-solving, and a service mindset.
  • High proficiency in English (minimum Level C1).
